Two-tone Swimmer Crab
Nectocarcinus integrifrons

¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

The Two-tone has a shell that is purple-brown in the front half and light brown in the rear. Its diet is unusual for a crab, consisting largely of seagrass, and it is often found in sheltered seagrasses and seaweeds. Unlike most swimmer crabs this species does not have a well-developed 'paddle' on the last pair of legs and is not a good swimmer.
